What's going on, everybody? I'm Kevin. I'm here to talk to you a little bit today about the impact影响 of blues education. Why blues education? In order to understand American music, you have to start from its root. Blues didn't exist anyplace else. It was born in America. The issue with blues, a lot of times that folks carry with them is that blues was born in a dark time. Blues was born during slavery奴隶制. So when we talk about the blues, oftentimes for kids, they think of it as just being sad music for old people.
And that concept概念 is easily dispelled once you understand the power of where it came from. And so talking about the origins of blues with students, letting them know that, yes, blues was born during slavery奴隶制, but it wasn't born because of slavery奴隶制.
