Hello and welcome again to English at Work, where things are a little tense(紧张的). Anna's finding it hard to work with new employee(受雇者) Rachel. She's told Paul, the boss(老板), about Rachel's incompetence, but he's done(做) nothing about it. So Anna, how are you feeling today? Frustrated(失意的). All that work I put in getting the contracts(合同) for Imperial(纸张尺寸) Lemons and Rachel has sent out a load(负载) of second hand plastic oranges.
I guess you're going to have to call your client([经] 客户) and sort(整理) out the mess(混乱). I guess so. Oh hi Tom. Is she about the man eater? No, it's all( 全部) clear(清晰的). She's gone out for a cappuccino.
Oh good, good. Look, I managed(管理) to call the guy(家伙) she bought the second hand oranges from and I cancelled(取消) the order. Phew, great. Yeah, yeah. And last night I managed to order some Imperial Lemons and sent them to that company in France, Fruit Traders International. Here's the paperwork( 文书工作).
Tom, that's brilliant(灿烂的). Here, let me give you a big hug. You saved(救) the day. That's a bit(一点) tight( 紧的). Oh no, not again. You two just can't leave each other alone(单独地).
But it was just... Say no more Anna. Now, I was looking for my special red pen. Have you seen it anywhere(在什么地方)? No, funny that my pens have gone missing(未击中) too. I'll go and get some more.
